Scott Ferguson, President and Co-Founder of Caucho® Technology, Inc., will present a session entitled, “Architectural Challenges in the Design of an Application Server.” This seminar will present the design, architecture and making of Resin with a detailed insight on how architectural patterns were used to translate
the latest J2EE specifications into a design for flexibility and performance, including inversion of control, the Hessian web services binary RPC protocol, caching and clustering.
Sam Heisz, Senior Engineer of Caucho® Technology, Inc., will be making two presentations. Heisz will present an abstract entitled “Developing web-apps without deploying, your time is worth it,” that will address topics including techniques to increase developer productivity and enjoyment by structuring web applications and leveraging server functionality to eliminate the need to package and deploy applications for each development iteration.
Sam Heisz will present a second session entitled “OutOfMemoryError’s in server applications,” to discuss the causes of OutOfMemoryError in server applications and the monitoring and troubleshooting techniques to deal with them.
