LA JOLLA, CA — September 7, 2007 – Caucho® Technology, Inc., a leading open source Java-PHP application server vendor, today announced that a 100% ActionScript(TM) implementation of Hessian is now available to Flash developers.
Hessian is Caucho® Technology’s fast, compact, and efficient web services and serialization protocol. Used for years in both production and development environments with implementations in several languages including Java, C#, Ruby, PHP, Python, and now ActionScript, Hessian has proved itself to be a versatile and powerful alternative to other web services technologies.
Flash is Adobe’s incredibly popular multimedia and Rich Internet Application (RIA) platform which drives many of the most popular websites today. Its install base is widespread and thus a highly preferred platform for web developers. Flash applications are developed using the Adobe Flex Software Development Kit (SDK) and IDE which in turn use the ActionScript and MXML programming languages.
