New Resin features to be introduced at Javapolis 2007

LA JOLLA, CA -- November 26, 2007 -- Caucho Technology, Inc., a leading open source Java-PHP application server vendor, today announced that it will present new features of its products in the Javapolis Conference, set to take place from December 10-14 in Antwerp, Belgium.

Caucho will have booth #37 at Javapolis. Company founders Scott Ferguson and Steve Montal will be in attendance at the conference and available to meet with press and customers.

New features to be presented in Caucho's booth at Javapolis include:

  • Resin's highly optimized JSF implementation
  • a new infrastructure to make server-push applications reliable and easy to develop
  • a 100% ActionScript(TM) implementation of Hessian available to Flash developers
  • versioning
  • improvements to JPA and PHP functionality
  • new API for Comet
  • easier debugging for Hessian web services

Javapolis is a major European Java conference that addresses topics including standard and enterprise Java, security, SOA, methodology, mobile and hot beans, among others. Sponsors include Sun Microsystems, Adobe and Capgemini.

Steve Montal, Co-Founder of Caucho Technology said, "We have made significant improvements to Resin, Hessian and Quercus in 2007 and look forward to presenting these technologies in our booth at Javapolis." Montal added, "javapolis.com has been running Resin for years which is exciting for us."

Caucho Technology products include the industry leading Resin application server, which is used by over 7,500 companies worldwide.

Quercus is Caucho Technology's pioneering open source architecture for web applications and services where Java and PHP are tightly integrated with each other. PHP applications can choose to use Java libraries and technologies like JMS, EJB, SOA frameworks, Hibernate, and Spring all within one application server. PHP applications running on Quercus are faster, easier to develop, more capable, more secure, and more scalable than any other PHP solution.

Hessian is Caucho Technology's fast, compact, and efficient web services and serialization protocol. Used for years in both production and development environments with implementations in several languages including Java, C#, Ruby, PHP, and Python, Hessian has proved itself to be a versatile and powerful alternative to other web services technologies including SOAP.

Caucho Technology has earned a reputation for supporting its products by a team of engineers devoted to quality customer service and a rapid bug fix and feature request program.
