Java User Groups (JUG) are volunteer-driven organizations that strive to distribute Java-related knowledge around the world. They provide a meeting place for Java users to obtain information, share resources and solutions, increase networking, and expand Java Technology expertise. The Silicon Valley and San Diego JUGs are two of the most vibrant JUG communities in California and the Western United States.

“It’s always a pleasure and privilege to reach out to the Java community at the grass-roots level via JUGs” said Reza Rahman. “I frequently speak at the East Coast JUGs so this will be my first time speaking at the Silicon Valley and San Diego JUGs.” Rahman added, “I look forward to sharing with fellow JUG members our work with Resin, the Java EE 6 Web Profile and CDI.”

Rahman’s work at Caucho® focuses on the Web Profile and EJB 3.1 Lite. In addition to speaking at JUGs and other speaking engagements including keynotes, he will be making four presentations at the upcoming JavaOne Conference in San Francisco this September.
