LA JOLLA, CA – November 23, 2010 – Caucho® Technology, the open source Web Profile leader for Java EE application servers, today announced that Reza Rahman, author of the popular book “EJB 3 in Action” and Technology Outreach Advocate at Caucho®, presented talks on Java EE 6 and Seam 3 at the Øredev Developer Conference in Sweden.

Rahman presented the latest developments in Java EE 6 including the break up of the monolithic platform and focused on important APIs. He further explored the composition of Resin’s application server and Caucho’s commitment to developers by providing lightweight and high performance tools.

Rahman also presented on Seam 3, a set of portable modular extensions and tools for persistence, which is based on CDI. CDI is the next generation type-safe dependency injection API in Java EE 6 designed to drastically reduce configuration complexity. Caucho’s CDI implementation, called CanDI, works with Seam 3 to offer developer additional flexibility and portability as demanded by rising application needs.

“It was an honor to be invited to speak at Øredev this year” said Reza Rahman. “The talks were well attended and the audience was very knowledgeable which made for interesting Q & A sessions after the presentations” added Rahman.

Øredev is one of the largest Nordic developer conferences with 1200 attendees and boasts an intriguing mix of tracks and topics including Java, .NET, Agile, Mobile and Web Development.

Founded in 2005 by Jayway, a company comprised of and focused on specialists within IT, Øredev’s inherited Jayway’s vision, philosophy and passion for this conference. Øredev has its origins and focus on the software development process, from programming to project management and the event continues to be based on the concept of quality for learning, networking and sharing knowledge.
