Gartner names Caucho
in “Cool Vendors in Platform
and Integration Middleware”

Resin is the Java Application Server for high traffic sites that require speed and scalability. It is one of the earliest Java Application Servers, and has stood the test of time due to engineering prowess.

Salesforce.com has relied on Resin to run our market-leading CRM services for years. After evaluating competing products, we found Resin to be the most reliable, scalable and cost-effective solution.”

“Caucho’s Resin application server has achieved Java EE 6 Web Profile Compliance. Congratulations to the team on reaching this milestone!”
–Oracle GlassFish Blog, Alexis Moussine-Pouchkine

Resin goes beyond basic Java EE Web profile support and provides you all the features you need to scale out a Java application server. Resin provides a Java Web server that outperforms Apache HTTPD, Cloud aware load balancer, SQUID-like HTTP proxy caching, distributed cache (JCache API or Memcached wire protocol), messaging (JMS), and third generation clustering not to mention action-based Java Monitoring, and Java Profiling.

Caucho® believes in delivering everything you need to build your application, to scale out, and manage your application in one easy-to-use, high performance product. All of the key components are designed to work together easily with a unified configuration based on Java CDI.

Resin Health System | Java Monitoring for Cloud Computing

Resin’s health system goes beyond Java Monitoring. It does not just watch, it can respond. Resin Health System monitors the entire OS that Resin is running on. You can configure rules which consist of conditions and actions. Once a certain limit is met, action are triggered like server restart with post mortem analysis. Resin’s administration and health monitoring tools provide statistics, PDF reports, troubleshooting and application management. It is everything you need to manage your Resin servers.

Resin | Java Clustering with Resin Cloud

Resin Cloud is our third generation clustering support. Resin Cloud is Java clustering that has been optimized to run in cloud environments, like, Amazon WS/EC2, Eucalyptus, CloudStack, OpenStack, etc.

Resin clustering is straightforward and fast, which provides unsurpassed operational predictability.
Resin’s elastic cloud support scales messaging, caching, load balancing and deployment services for new servers in a live cluster without a need for configuration. Resin’s, hub and spoke, Triple redundancy architecture dramatically reduces fatal crashes (99.999% up time) without the split brain, split group, Cloud/IaaS incompatibilities of other fancier solutions.

“We chose Resin because we wanted a secure, high performance Java Servlet engine that supports clustering and failover at a reasonable price.”
Evan Simeone / Product Manager / eMeta

Resin ships with a cluster aware load balancers that can effectively and efficiently distributed load automatically to new server entering the cluster, and also integrates with hardware load balancers. Need to scale. Add more server nodes. Resin takes care of the rest. Resin is the easiest server to scale out.

Resin is developer and DevOps friendly.

“It sounds silly and over simplistic, but Resin just works! It is easy to install, it is easy to get started, it is easy to configure, it is easy to get into a cluster, it is easy to work with, it shows at every level that Caucho® focused on the target of a compact, efficient, easy JEE engine and delivered.”
Nathan Tableman / Sr. Manager of Development / Conde Nast Digital (Vogue, GQ, Wired)

Short video with animations describing
Resin Cloud Support

Resin is controllable and scriptable via REST, JMX and CLI. You can setup a complete cloud of Resin application servers in any IaaS environment in a matter of moments. Adding new servers to the cloud is extremely simple. Services are completely elastic, non-chatty and efficient. It just works. If you need to deploy Java web applications in the cloud, then Resin is your Java Application Server.

DevOps love working with Resin 4. It was built from the ground up to support virtualization 2.0, IaaS and cloud computing. Resin is a cloud platform thus it provides REST and command line interfaces for everything it does. DevOps don’t always work with Java Application Servers, but when they do, they choose Resin Java Application Server.

Resin is the simplicity of PaaS without the limitations.

“… we initially tried Tomcat. After a series of problems, including class loading, deployment and failed shutdowns we turned to Resin Pro. …it resolved all the issues we had with Tomcat … we found the administration, health checking and advanced deployment options in Resin Pro (Java EE WebProfile, Java Application Server) have greatly simplified our DevOps.”
-John Bruce | Director | Kinross Group Ltd

“Resin, a developer-centric product, is built from the ground up to make the developer’s life easier, and makes it a natural fit. The dynamic deployment of JSP, Java classes, Java source files, and more makes Resin extremely easy to use, yet is still remains one of the fastest, most performant application servers on the market. We tested Resin performance against other much more expensive application servers. It was not even close. Resin was the hands down winner.”
Rick Hightower / Direct of Development / eBlox
