LA JOLLA, CA — February 12, 2008 – Caucho Technology, Inc., a leading open source Java-PHP application server vendor, today announced a new initiative to integrate Resin IoC with popular Open Source projects.
Resin, an enterprise-class Java application server launched ten years ago, is Caucho Technology’s flagship product used in over 7,800 commercial deployments. With a dedication to standards and innovation, Resin has long been integrated with many
of the leading Java technologies. Now, along with the new Resin IoC technology, Caucho is building bridges to allow popular Open Source projects to use objects configured in Resin IoC as their own. Caucho’s new initiative will include dedicating a substantial amount of engineering resources to integrating Resin IoC with Open Source projects such as:
- SOAP stacks including XFire and CXF
- IoC containers including Spring and Guice
- ESB technologies including Mule
Quercus is Caucho Technology’s 100% Java, clean-room implementation of PHP. More and more sites are deploying Quercus in production environments, using both custom PHP code and existing popular PHP applications including WordPress, MediaWiki, and
Drupal. An increasing number of applications are added to this list with each release. Quercus allows PHP developers to integrate with custom Java and existing packages such as Spring and Struts2. Resin IoC also integrates fully with Quercus, meaning that PHP developers will be able to use the power of Resin IoC-configured Java beans.
