La Jolla, CA, September 9, 2010 – Caucho Technology Inc., the open source Web Profile leader for Java EE application servers, today announced that the Subetha 2.1 release is powered by Resin CanDI, Caucho’s CDI implementation.
Subetha is a sophisticated, open source mailing list manager that features user-friendly web interfaces for configuration management. Subetha version 2.1 extensively uses CanDI for its plugin capabilities while taking full advantage of the declarative injection style with self-documenting annotations.
“Subetha is an open source mailing list server - think Mailman on steroids. It’s also a showcase for how to use Resin’s CanDI configuration system in a real-world application” said Subetha’s Jeff Schnitzer.
“Seeing a well-written, and heavily used application benefit from Resin CanDI is invaluable,” said Steve Montal, Co-Founder of Caucho Technology. “Subetha, along with being well-written and designed, is a particularly good example because it intelligently uses the bulk of the important Java EE 6 technologies: CDI, EJB @Stateless beans, Servlets, JSP, JMS queues and EJB MDB beans, as well as commonly used technologies like Velocity and Hessian web services” added Montal.
