Integrating Hessian with UI

Hello,
  I'm using Hessian between a (Swing) rich client and a server. When the
client starts up, it loads an initial large dataset from the server via a
Hessian call. I would like to display a progress bar (very much like a
download progress) while the data is being transmitted. Is there currently a
way to "hook" into Hessian so I can track the progress of data being
transmitted?
