(x)emacs has PCL-CVS mode for doing CVS from within emacs. works well
for most standard CVS stuff and has one character key bindings for
stuff like updates ('g'), commits ('c'), diffs ('='), etc..
I'm not sure what you mean by "install xml/xsl packages in emacs".
