you probably have Web Services (or IIS) running on port 80 already.

Subject: Win2K port=80 issue

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a web server on a Win 2K system using Resin 2.1.4 using
port 80 ( <http host='localhost' port='80'/> ) and I get the error:

Starting Resin on Tue, 24 Sep 2002 11:13:32 -0700 (PDT)
http can't bind to port localhost:80.
1) Check for conflicting servers.
2) Check that localhost/127.0.0.1 is a valid interface for this machine.

Other ports like 8080 work. I'm am successful in setting up localhost with
port 80 on a NT Workstation. Is this a Win 2K issue or a missed server
setting somewhere?

TIA,
John
