We looked into using ScottIt, from http://www.ustobe.com/scottit
It did at least the jdbc monitoring you're asking for back in the
older version we installed, but the newer version seems to do
a lot more. Might be worth paying for by now. Seems to be
about $400 per year for a single server license.
